Whitehouse Farm Day Nursery

Whitehouse farm day nursery is situated in the small rural village of Sedgebrook just off the A52, 6 miles from Grantham. The nursery is purpose built in a former stable block, and has been restored to retain the original character of the old building. We have recently extended our nursery by renovating former barns and conjoining the two buildings into one.

The nursery has been designed to create an environment that is similar to home, decor and furnishing reflects this ethos.

The nursery has 7 main rooms, the Lounge, 2 Dining rooms, Playroom, Den, Burrow and Bedroom/sensory area we also boast superb outdoor space inclusive of our very own Orchard home of the Chickens and Rabbit, a secret Garden for water, sand and construction and 2 gardens which are accessible to all children all day. We believe that outdoor play is essential to all children, to enable them to holistically thrive and succeed.

We have a fantastic cook who prepares all our meals fresh on the day ensuring the children are provided with a healthy balanced diet, mixed together with the children's favourite meals. We use a 3 week cycle menu that is changed 4 times a year following the seasons.

All staff at Whitehouse Farm Day Nursery are experienced and committed childcare professionals, all qualified to a minimum of level 3, the setting also has a lead practitoner who holds her BA Hons Degree in Early Childhood studies.

At Whitehouse farm day nursery we have 4 groups that the children move through while they are at nursery, we have the Bunnies (0-2), squirrels (2-3), Hedgehogs/ Pre-School (3-4) and the Foxes (Afterschool club).  The names of the different groups were chosen by the children, we decided to use the names of animals we see regularly in our garden.  Throughout the day we have free flow where children can mix with children of all ages and can go into the other rooms, we feel this is important for children especially siblings to be able to access the whole nursery as they would their own home.
